Banish Misfortune play Irish traditional music, chiefly dance tunes such as jigs, reels, hornpipes and polkas, but also including beautiful airs and songs in English and Irish. All three musicians have been steeped in Irish traditional music for many years and perform to a high standard. Since meeting some years ago at the annual Rencontres Musicales Irlandaises trad festival at Tocane-Saint-Apre in Dordogne, they have played at many weddings, dances and other celebrations and special events. The line-up of the trio comprises Pat (vocal, guitar, banjo), Philippe (accordeon, whistle) and Line (fiddle).
Please don’t hesitate to get in touch for further information or if you would like us to play at your wedding. Thank you.
